On August 6, 2009 Laura Ling and Euna Lee emerged from a jetliner in Burbank, California to a sea of flashing cameras.  Alongside Bill and Hillary Clinton, the power couple who secured their release, the frazzled women weeded through the media frenzy and collapsed into the arms of their families.
