As the city of San Diego has officially clamped down on water use, I’ve become increasingly sensitive to conservation. In an effort to do my part I now wash my hands under a trickle of water (rather than turning the faucet on full blast) and take shorter showers. That may not seem like much, but a small difference is still a difference. While patronizing my local farmer’s market last Saturday I stumbled upon a booth for Nika, an inspirational organization on a noble mission. (more…)
